Help Your School with Casey's Rewards

Students and teachers could use a boost now more than ever. During October and November, Casey's will match all donated points to schools up to $25,000. Casey's guests can get involved in our Cash for Classrooms program by directing their Casey's Rewards points toward a donation to their school of choice.

As students, teachers and families continue to have needs, Casey's will provide Cash for Classroom grants this year to support projects and initiatives taking place at local schools across the heart of America. The funding priorities include:

Physical Improvements

Projects that help update and improve the school through repairs, enhancements or new additions. This can include internal (building, classrooms) or external (playground, fields).

COVID-specific needs may include: outdoor classroom space, improved HVAC or ventilation systems, plexiglass installation for cafeterias, or other shared spaces.

Material Needs

Needs for supplies, technology, materials or other items that would enrich the learning environment.

COVID-specific needs may include: mobile hotspots or tablet computers to enable distance learning for  students without internet at home; cleaning supplies and PPE for students and classrooms; individual (rather than communal) classroom supplies such as pencils, art materials, etc.

Teacher Support

Programs that seek to grow the skills of teachers, offer professional development or address training resources.

COVID-specific needs may include: webcams or smart boards to enable remote teaching.

Community Engagement

Efforts to engage students with the community. Examples include external experiences like student volunteerism programs, camps or field trips.

COVID-specific needs may include: virtual celebration experiences (spirit weeks, prom), camps or community connections program (like pen pals).

 

Grant Guidelines

  • Grants will range from $1,000 to a maximum of $50,000 with funds used within 12 months of award.
  • An organization may only submit one application during the current cycle. A school can receive more than one donation if submitted by different organizations.

Grant Eligibility

  • Organizations that are a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, listed on the IRS Master File and conducting activities within the United States;
  • Or, a K-12 public or nonprofit private school in Casey's 16-state footprint;
  • And, overhead/indirect costs (non-program-related expenses) may not exceed 5% of the total program budget.
