This week we're featuring an employee who never fails to make each day a little brighter, Stacy Steward. Stacy has been an employee of Casey's for over 5 years and is our Cafeteria Lead Assistant. She is responsible for providing breakfast and lunch each day to our hundreds of corporate employees, along with ensuring that the children in our Child Care Center also have meals.
Prior to working at Casey's, Stacy was employed with a school district and says that in that role, she was only known as "the lunch lady." However, since working at Casey's, she says that it doesn't matter if she's serving our warehouse employees or the CEO and President, everyone treats her the same.
She makes sure to reciprocate that respect as well, stating that she "provides a service, but it's the people that make the difference. I know when women's due dates are, when grandbabies are being born, it's like a family. I genuinely care about the people who work here."
Stacy believes that Casey's culture sets us apart from other employers. Even though we are a Fortune 500 company, we've managed to find a way to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere where people genuinely care about one another.
